Long Time, No Blog

So like a flash Summer is over! And what an amazing summer I've had. So there is no surprise its been ages since I've found the time to blog. I was looking back and saw the last time I blogged properly was May! So much has happened since then...I celebrated my 22nd birthday, I ran the Bristol 10k, I went to Ascot for the first time, I got a promotion at work,  I went on a completely spontaneous and last minute holiday to Ibiza, as well as a weeks holiday in Majorca...just to name a few! But most importantly I travelled around California in August with 3 of my friends which was incredible. I am going to be doing a full write up on my blog of all the places I visited on my road trip so keep an eye out for that.

Photos below are taken while enjoying a lazy hangover day in the sun on Sunday in Bristol. Not quite warm enough to go without my cardigan!

On Top of London

So I had a pretty full on bank holiday weekend. I headed up to London on Saturday to see a friend and then headed down to Brighton on Sunday before heading back to Bristol (3 hour drive!) on Monday!

Me and my friend decided to go up the Shard in London. It's something I've wanted to do for ages. I thought that you had to book weeks in advance, but we managed to pretty much walk in, up the lift to the 33rd floor and straight to the bar! As we were celebrating my friends birthday it would have been rude not to dulge £16 each on a cocktail. I think its the most expensive drink I've ever brought but with a view like we had you can't complain! We managed to grab a seat right by the window with a view looking over London bridge and Canary Wharf.

We didn't go for food when we were there but there is a choice of about 3/4 different restaurants so maybe when I'm in London again at some point I will have to give it a try.

I will blog later on in the week and tell you all about my trip to Brighton at to choccywoccydoodah! Hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend - not long to go till the next one!

April Showers

So despite the fact its been raining for weeks on end the sun has finally come out! No better way to embrace the sunshine by brining out my summer wardrobe - this skirt has been sat in my wardrobe for years and I think I've only worn it once. Its from Primark and I just fell in love with the colour. Over the weekend I decided to dig it out as the weather was so nice but not quite warm enough for bare legs! My weekend was jam packed enjoying the sunshine and seeing friends, having catch ups over drinks and lovely food!

So I'm not one normally to open up a huge amount about my personal life over my blog as I think there are some things which are best kept personal. That said, there has been quite a few changes in my life recently (hence my lack of blogging!) mainly in my work and starting college part time and in my friendships/relationships but its all good change, and I honestly couldn't be happier. I have lots of exciting plans ahead for 2015 and I can't wait to share it all with you and blog about it.

Harry Potter Studios

So after all the hype around the Harry Potter studio tour I decided I must give in and go! I must admit I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan - I've only seen like 2 or 3 of the films but none the less I was still interested to go and see the 'behind the scenes' of it all.

The studio tour is located in Watford so I went up the night before with a friend and stayed over so we could get there early on the morning. We had a 10am booking which worked out so well as we were the first lot of people in and it meant no ques!

I don't want to ruin the surprises for those avid Harry Potter fans or for those who are planning on visiting in the future, but all I can say is you won't be disappointed. Its such a magical place and it was really interesting to see how things were filmed and all the special effects used. You really don't realise all the work and detail that goes into everything. It was incredible to find out that over 12 thousand (yes twelve thousand!) people worked on the making of all the 8 films!

I took just short of 100 photos throughout the day but I've selected a few to show you. My favourite pictures being of Diagon Alley. Sadly there isn't any photos of me riding a broomstick! Enjoy!

As always! Thank you for reading.
