Christmas Countdown

So I spent last weekend in London wondering around Southbank Christmas market sipping on mulled wine, eating away and browsing the stalls. I love London at Christmas and I am defiantly feeling more festive now! We ended our saturday evening at a party then out in Brixton. As you can imagine Sunday was a bit of a slow start but we wondered up to Clapham and for some much needed hangover food!

I've had a really busy start to the week but hard work paid off and I couldn't be happier as I have a new job which I am starting in January 2016. I have been at my current company for 2 years and been looking for a change so was over the moon to be offered a new job. I'm going to be celebrating this weekend, starting off with my work Christmas party on Friday!

On Sunday I'm going to Bath Christmas market with some friends and I'm going to try the famous Burger and Lobster restaurant which has not long opened there. I'm sure I will attempt to do some christmas shopping as well, but something tells me I will be leaving it till last minute as always!

Black Friday

So as November flew by I am now jam packed with Christmas celebrations and events till pretty much 2016. I had really busy weekend but also sadly had to make room for college work, which as always I leave until the last possible minute to complete - obviously I am procrastinating right now writing this post!

On Friday I had the day of work and headed up to Birmingham for Black Friday! I've never really been one to get involved in Black Friday before as I've heard how busy places can get and for me it's always easier to buy online. It was crazy to see some of the ques outside shops and I don't think I have ever seen the bullring so packed, that however didn't stop me. I managed to get a bit of shopping done and also spent some time in the Christmas market. Quite an achievement to have completed all my Christmas shopping before December!

I am spending next weekend in London doing some nice Christmassy things so I will blog all about that when I get a chance.

Hello November

So I've had a pretty heavy weekend which hasn't taken to me very well! I went out for drinks straight after work on Friday to St. Nicks night market, after a few G&T's and some great food we moved on to some more bars nearby and then on to Red Light. I've heard people talk about this bar for ages but never got around to going. It's in the centre of Bristol and is a secret bar. By that I mean there is no sign outside and its just a door with a red light above it (very Amsterdam!) You have to ring a phone outside, and someone comes and lets you in. We got there about 10pm and hadn't booked so were lucky to get in. We had many cocktails followed by prosecco and lets just say I didn't quite make my gym class in the morning!

On Saturday night some of my friends were back from London for the weekend so we went on a bit of a bar crawl (with more cocktails!) and ended up in a club. Anyway despite the fact I've had a 2 day hangover this weekend I managed to drag myself out of bed today and go for a wonder around Bristol and catch up with a friend over coffee and cake - shock no alcohol!

Summer Blues

So it doesn't quite seem appropriate to be blogging photos from the summer when I'm looking out the window and its raining! These photos were taken in Majorca in September and I just never got around to posting them after I went.

To say I have major summer blues is an understatement... although I have recently just booked my final holiday for 2015 and I'm of to Paris for NYE! NYE is always quite over rated and if your anything like me I'm always rushing around last minute trying to make plans - however not this year! I've been to Paris twice before but both times have been in the Summer so it will be so nice to see Paris in the winter. I'm going for 3 nights and hoping to fit in a trip to Disneyland as well!

So October has been such a busy (and expensive!) month for me. I started it of by running the Cardiff half marathon which was a huge achievement for me. I had been training quite a lot but took nearly a months break with being away in America and Majorca. As it was my first half marathon I was really pleased with myself.
A lot of my friends birthdays are in October so it's been celebration after celebration!
I mentioned a while ago but I started a new job in September and it's been so busy and I've had to work away a bit so I decided to quit my 2nd part-time job! Quite a big decision for me as I had been working at Topshop/Topman for 4 years. I love the team I work with, but working full time in HR, as well as part time at Topshop and going to college once a week was getting a bit too much - so sad I no longer have my discount but something had to give!

LA to Palm Springs

So as I mentioned in my last post I travelled to America in August with 3 friends. We did a road trip on the West coast with our main destinations being LA, Vegas and San Francisco. Over the 15 days we visited 3 different states (California, Arizona and Nevada) and drove over 2300 miles!

I had the most incredible time over in the states and would do it all again in heartbeat if I could! Some of my real highlights have to be the The Hollywood walk of fame, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas (everything about it!), Yosemite National Park, The Golden Gate Bridge and Venice Beach.

I kept pretty up to date with my instagram while I was away so some of you might have already seen some photos on there. I took my proper camera with me and I took over 2000 photos but obviously I won't be sharing them all.

We flew direct into LAX (Los Angeles airport) which took just short of 12 hours from London. It was the furthest place I had traveled to but considering I hate flying the flight went so quick and really wasn't that bad.

We had a slight hiccup on our first night in LA which was a minor car accident (I wasn't driving!) but we were all okay and got a new car with no hassle! Anyway we visited the famous Hollywood sign (which is actually Tiny!) and the Griffith Observatory in the Hollywood Hills. We spent 1 night in LA before heading East to Palm Springs.

Palm Springs was a real change from LA but it was so nice. On our way there we had our first In 'n' Out burger - why do we not have them in England? Really good and so cheap! We visited the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway which took you right up into the mountains and we saw some amazing views. We spent our evening at the local outlet centre before having some yummy mexican food and cocktails!

My next post will be all about our drive to Arizona and the Grand Canyon!
