So after spending a lovely 2 days in London for my birthday (see previous post for more details) the real celebrations began. On the Saturday night I had a huge party for all my lovely family and friends. I was so glad that so many of them had travelled so far and made all the effort to come and celebrated with me.
We had a cupcake and pic n mix table which was beautifully decorated by a friend of mine. A lady at my work made some of the cupcakes, which tasted amazing. There was cocktails, food and dancing! I had such a wonderful evening and danced the night away.
On the Sunday (22nd June) - my actual birthday I had such a lovely day sat in my garden eating and drinking with family. The weather is always so rubbish on my birthday which is funny as its in June, but for the first time ever it was sunny the whole day... Perfect!
I was treated by many of my family and friends to an amazing mulberry purse! Very spoilt! I have wanted one for ages so was completely in shock and so excited when I saw the purse! I also found out that my boyfriend is treating me to a long weekend in Barcelona in 3 weeks time! Very lucky!

Twenty One, Part 1
So after my trip last month to New York to partially celebrate my 21st birthday, now came the real celebrations. Me and my boyfriend headed of to London for 2 days. To start we did all the general touristy bits at Buckingham Palace before heading over to the Hilton on Park Lane for a 'chocoholics afternoon tea for two'. The cakes were so yummy, the theme of the afternoon tea was to celebrate the 22nd year of Ascot. I was a little confused when the waitress brought the stand over, I thought they had got my age wrong! They did bring me a little cake with 'Happy 21st' in writing so that was sweet. We sadly couldn't eat it all so took it away with us in a doggy bag!
In the evening we went to Covent Garden to watch the Lion King, we had both never seen it before so it was a real excitement. The whole show was just incredible, the costumes were so believable and all really imaginative. I was even singing along to my favourite bits! I really would recommend anyone to see it if you haven't already. We finished the evening of with a Shake Shack in Covent Garden, and cocktails in SoHo.
Our hotel was on the River, and about a 5 minute walk from the London Eye. So the next day we walked down the river past Westminster and Big Ben, and carried on walking until we got to Borough Market. It's one of my favourite places to eat, especially on a Friday lunch time. We had lunch there and wondered down to Tower Hill for drinks before heading back to Bristol, booo!

New York : Day One
So I was lucky enough to be taken away to New York to celebrate my 21st birthday. I was over there for 4 nights/5 days and it went so quickly. The city is incredible. When people say 'its the city that doesn't sleep' believe me it really doesn't.
The trip was so jam packed, but it was perfect - we managed to do so many things in the short time we had. I was trying to combine all the best bits into one blog post, which was proving pretty difficult so I've decided to break it down day by day.
On the first day our flight landed at about 1pm, so we headed straight to the hotel and dropped of all our bags before setting out. Our hotel was in such a good location, about a 2 minute walk away from times square! Our first stop for a much needed drink was Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.
We had booked to go to an oyster bar in Grand Central Station for an early dinner. Some friends of ours we were with tried to go last time they were in New York but couldn't - so luckily we booked in advance! Grand Central Station is by far one of the most interesting train stations I've ever been too, it feels more like a quirky shopping mall than a train station. If your heading to New York, it really is a must see at least just the amount of films its featured in! The atmosphere was so lively.
Our evening was spent on Broadway watching Chicago, which if I'm honest wasn't the best production I have seen so I was slightly disappointed. It was a silly mistake us booking to go on our first night in New York, as I had been awake since 3am English time, with little sleep on the plane! So as you can imagine bed was calling!

Jazzy Pants
So the inspiration behind todays blog title is from the employee at Forever 21 in New York who sold them to me! When she was putting them through the till (amongst the other many items I was buying) she said to me 'Ohh I love these pants... their so jazzy!' I thought it was a perfect way to describe them. I was slightly worried that when I wore them they might look like pyjamas, as they are quite loose and super comfy - but hey who cares!
In due course... hopefully later on this week some time I will update you all about my crazy 5 days in New York. We crammed so much in when we were over there it felt like I needed a holiday to recover! After sleeping of my jet lag I've just enjoyed a pretty chilled weekend in Bristol. I wondered down with my boyfriend today to town where they were holding an event call 'Park on Park Street' there was food, music, dancing and more importantly the sun was shining! They shut of the Park Street which is quite a main road in Bristol and there was people everywhere! We managed to get ourselves a free nandos to top it of!
