Plain Jane

Easter is my favourite time of the year, probably more so than Christmas (shhh!) I am a big chocolate eater so I do go all out and eat as much as I can. When I was younger me and my sister used to have competitions to see how quickly we could eat all of out eggs, I always remember my mum being very unimpressed! This year I have requested a Marks&Spencer's percy pig easter egg from my boyfriend... so fingers crossed!
My mum and dad are away at a Wedding for Easter this year which is sad, but me and my boyfriend have planned to go to Bath on Saturday for a mooch around and have dinner at Jamie's Italian.

I've also planned to do some baking. As many of you may know I've been on lent and haven't eaten crisps or cakes in god knows how long. So I am going to make some creme egg cupcakes to properly treat myself. I've seen loads on the internet about these cupcakes, I can see them going horridly wrong but I will make sure I take some photos to let you know how it has gone. I am actually surprised I've managed to do so well at my lent, I think its probably the first year which I haven't broken it. Well done Emma!

Most of my friends are at University which is sad cos I never get to see them much apart from on holidays such as Easter :) I went to Wagamamas on Friday with my friend Lucy. We chatted for hours, and after 3 courses, 6 cups of green tea and 4 hours later we had caught up. I'm sure many of you will have seen my #wagamamanoodles photos on instagram (follow @fashionunderdog.) At the moment their offering a chance to win a trip to Japan, and all you had to do to enter was post a photo of your food. Fingers crossed for me all PLEASE!

So todays outfit is featuring one of the items I brought from Topshop, and showed you all in my last post (click here too see.) I was very naughty and went shopping but every now and then in life you just have to give in and treat yourself. Luckily I get paid tomorrow anyway so maybe some more treats to be coming my way!
I personally think my outfit is pretty plain Jane today, even my sister said the same, hence the name of this post. I was also feeling weirdly a bit camera shy, which really isn't like me! Either way I would still love to hear your thoughts and opinions, as always :)

Bristol Fashion Week S/S 2013

Another late post for me today, apologies in advance if there are any spelling mistakes...my eyes are falling asleep on me!
So this evening I was really lucky to sneak my way into Bristol Fashion Week for free. Its held at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway in Bristol every spring/summer and autumn/winter. I have been before a few years ago. Its hosted by Andrew Barton, and its always a great show which provides a good insight into all of the latest trends and fashions available at the stores in the mall.

I popped down after I finished work and was greeted by a glass of pink sparkling and some cakes courtesy of Marks and Spencers. I was a good girl and wrapped up my cake to take home for my mum... dam you lent! I even got a free goodie bag which included treats from the likes of body shop, tressemme, kinder bueno, olay, pantene and many more. In the goodie bag you also got a voucher which had some discount vouchers in for stores and restaurants in the mall.

There were some beautiful collections from River Island, Hobbs, BHS, John Lewis, Lipsy, Ted Baker, Marks and Spencers, Next, Gap, Warehouse and Dune. My favourite part of the show was from Hobbs, its a personal favourite shop of mine anyway, all their clothing patterns and cuts are so unique, I try to avoid going past the window as I just want everything! You might be able to see in some of my pictures the female models had black and white boxes on their heads, I thought it looked amazing. I also loved the flower umbrellas (also photoed below) in the John Lewis collection.

Sadly my photos aren't very good as no one was actually allowed to take photos (naughty Emma!) so I was having to take photos very discreetly, at one point the lady in front even turned around to give me that 'look'.... woopsie!

Vintage Wednesday

So after my moany post yesterday I am back on track with an outfit post for you all. I feels like quite a while now since I have done one, sorry about this. I promise I am going to be doing them more frequently in the future.

Some of you may notice I dyed my hair on the weekend so its a bit darker. Its not the colour I actually want it to be at the moment but its semi-perminent so over the next couple of weeks you will see it changing back.

I have a collection of over about 20 head scarfs in my room which I rediscovered the other week. I used to wear them in my hair all the time, I even used to wear them as belts or tie them around my bags. I don't know how but that phase seemed to fade, but I am going to start wearing them again so pre-warning for you all. Most of them are vintage, from eBay, charity shops or from Urban Outfitters.

This outfit post is featuring my French Connection blazer which I spoke about (and was wearing) in my last outfit post (click here to see.) Even though its quite summery and no way do we have the whether to be wearing it in England... I seem to be living in it at the moment!

Also apologies for loads of the 'not looking at the camera' poses. I don't know if many of you remember but back when I went to London Fashion Week I caught conjunctivitis and I believe it may be back again which is so rubbish as I brought all new eye make up since then... boo :( Hopefully it will get better soon, until then I am keeping it on the DL with eye make up.
